There are hundreds of memory techniques out there that will make it easier to put whatever information you want into your mind. Most, if not all of them will work to some extent. They can help your brain learn how your brain wants to learn, removing the effort from your part to pack it all in. Look around SpeedStudent.com and you will see a ton of these techniques that you can put into practice immediately; HOWEVER, there is one skill that you need to develop, that is more important than all the rest. Confidence.

Plain and simple, Confidence. You can master every single technique that is out there, but without confidence you will always be doubting yourself and will take hours to learn information that should take you minutes. Tell yourself how amazing your brain is, and how easy it is for you to learn. If you can actually believe it, then it’s true.

Obviously there will be a few doubts in the beginning, but if you can make it past those, your brain is unbeatable. If you look at some of the greatest speed learning minds out there, the ones who can read a page second or recite Pi to the ten thousandth digit, they are using simple techniques. That YOU can learn. The only thing that is separating you from achieving the same results is a bit of training, and the confidence that you can complete it.

When you are learning, always be focusing on what gain you will experience from the information in front of you. WIIFM – What’s In It For ME? Mix that feeling of purpose with the confidence that you can learn it, and you will have tapped into part of your learning potential.

There is a quote somewhere that I don’t feel like looking up but it goes “Whether you think you can or you can’t; You’re Right.” Personally I would change the word “think” to the word “know,” because it serves a more definiteness of purpose. It really is as easy as that.

Be confident in yourself. Share that confidence with others to believe in themselves. Without confidence you simply have a bag of tricks, but with it your tricks suddenly turn into invaluable skills.
